Low voltage burns AC unit at Dabolim

Vasco: The international as well as domestic passengers at Dabolim Airport had to face traumatic conditions due to the non-functioning of the air conditioning plants.
Today could probably have been the worst day for passengers, as the imported state-of-the-art computer controlled 80 tonne capacity AC plant got burnt due to the low voltage this afternoon.
The entire terminus was affected due to the damage caused to the AC plant, informed sources when contacted. The Dabolim Airport is continuously affected due to the low voltage and till now things have not improved.
As Dabolim Airport is Goa's lone airport, it is logical that the government should take interest in it. However, airport sources differ, saying that the lackadaisical attitude of the authorities has badly affected the functioning of the airport and this could give a bad impression to tourists arriving in the state. Sources say that the damage to the AC plant could take another week or so to restore and the passengers will have to suffer without air conditioning.
