Want to marry and be a sanyasi?

The hearing on a batch of PIL against the closure of HAL airport after the commercial launch of the new international airport at Devanahalli led to some light moments in Karnataka High Court on Thursday.
During the hearing, BIAL indicated that the commercial launch of the new airport could again be delayed in view of the Assembly elections due in the State on May 10, 16 and 22.
Counsel for BIAL submitted that all arrangements have been completed at the airport. Only the ATC clearance is awaited.
Counsel for HAL as well as the Airport Authority of India (AAI) then told the court that they would toe the line adopted by the central government as it is a policy decision. Referring to the preparedness of the three agencies for the launch of the airport on the one hand and their hesitation to commit a date for the launch on the other, Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph commented in a lighter vein: "You have washed your hands of the issue. It is like willing to get married and also become a sanyasi'', reports Times of India.
