Air India flight cancelled due to technical snag

Nedumbassery: A Delhi-bound Air India flight from Thiruvananthapuram was cancelled due to some technical snag at the Kochi International Airport when it was about to take off.
The flight, scheduled to leave Kochi airport at 7.30 am was brought back to apron due to technical snag from runway when the flight was about to take off, airport sources said.
Kerala Governor R L Bhatia, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Justice K S Radhakrishnan, CPI(M) Leader Brinda Karat were among those who were onboard the flight.
Air India authorities diverted another flight IC 998 (Baharain-Doha-Calicut-Kochi) to Delhi and it left with the passengers at 10.45 am, the sources said.
