New Delhi: With the opening up of the airport infrastructure sector to FDI, the GMR-led Delhi International Airport Limited has invited EoI from global firms to fund, construct and operate facilities for general aviation and non-scheduled operations at the IGI Airport here.
The Expressions of Interest (EoIs), which can be filed till May 30, have been issued to Fixed Based Operators (FBOs) for restructuring and setting up India's first dedicated General Aviation facility.
The selected FBOs would finance, design, develop, construct, operate, manage and maintain the dedicated General and Business Aviation facilities at airport, including terminal side facilities, airside facilities and maintenance services, a DIAL advertisement said.
Apart from providing handling and catering services for general aviation operations, the facilities from FBOs would include services like special lounges and conference facilities.
Besides air charters or aircraft rentals, the FBOs would also be responsible for aircraft fuelling, de-fuelling and oil dispensing, parking, tie-down and hangar storage, power plant and accessory service, avionics and instrument service.
