Indian withdraws Ranchi flight

Patna: Friday did not prove good for city fliers as Indian, the government-owned airlines, announced that the flight number IC 810, which provided connectivity with Ranchi, would no longer be available.
The withdrawal of this flight has been done for providing better facilities to passengers flying out of Ranchi.
As things stand, the government-owned operator has introduced Airbus 321 on the Mumbai-Delhi-Ranchi route. The same flight earlier used to come up to Patna when Airbus 319 operated on this route.
"The introduction of a bigger plane forced us to withdraw the flight from Patna as the city airport does not have a runway lengthy enough for landing and take-off of a bigger aircraft," said Indian terminal manager C Sengodan.
Even his counterpart in Ranchi, Satish Bage, had made similar claims on Thursday.
