Kuwait-bound woman arrested

Hyderabad: A 31-year-old woman from Gunupudi village in West Godavari district was arrested by immigration authorities at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad for attempting to fly to Kuwait without employment papers on Wednesday morning. Police suspect the role of an immigration official behind clearing the woman.
According to police, P Bayamma got a visa from Kuwait consulate in Chennai to work as a domestic help in the oil-rich country. One Srinivas from Bayamma's neighbouring village, Juvvalapalem, arranged everything for her to secure a visa.
With the assistance of Srinivas, Bayamma came to the city on May 9. With the help of a car driver, Mohammed Aqeel Ahmed of Hyderabad, Bayamma came to the Shamshabad airport in the wee hours of Wednesday to board a Kuwait Airlines flight, KU372.
