Aviall Inc. to enter Indian market by December 2008

Mumbai: US (Texas) based Aviall Inc., a solutions provider of aftermarket supply-chain management services for the aerospace, defense and marine industries, is planning to set up shops, as well as launch B2B website in India, in December this year. The website will cater only to airlines, giving them an experience of shopping online for the airline products. The opening of this in-country operation will help local and other international airlines in attaining their spare parts at a short notice. The airlines have to register under a log in id and password on the portal for shopping online for spare parts and other necessary products for the aircraft. Looking at the response from existing airlines in India, the company might have an Indian website called aviallindia.com, in future.
Talking with TravelBiz Monitor on the sidelines of the ongoing Aviation Outlook India summit in Mumbai, Sachin Taparia, Managing Director, Aviall India, Boeing Intl. Corp. India said, “With our centre in Delhi, general, business and commercial aviation will be our main clients... The airlines in India will be catered in a big way, making it like a Big Bazaar of aircraft parts....”
