Playboy in the cockpit

‘Darling, we will go on a long drive tomorrow,’ Arjun Menon had sms-ed Sucheta Anand late on Saturday night. The Indigo Airlines co-pilot got no reply. He thought she was still angry with him. Perhaps, she had committed suicide by then.
Anand was found hanging from the ceiling in Room No 311 of Hotel Palm Grove, Juhu, on Sunday.
Menon, arrested on charges of abetting her suicide, has admitted to Santa Cruz police during two days of grilling that he had a verbal dispute with the Indigo airhostess in her hotel room last Saturday, and left in a huff. Later, he made several calls on her mobile, but she did not respond. Finally, he sent her the conciliatory sms.
Menon made another revelation. He told the cops that he had a “playboy image” among his colleagues at Indigo.
“I have many female friends in the crew, and one of them is quite close to me. This trait of mine was not liked by Sucheta. She always used to say that I was having too many affairs,” Menon told his interrogators.
He added that Anand was “nagging and suspicious”. “Even when I was talking to a male friend, she would suspect that it was a woman on the other end of the line. She always made an issue out of it.”
