Bangalore: ABB India, the Bangalore-based power and automation technologies provider has bagged an order worth Rs 312 crore for supply of electrical infrastructure for the India Gandhi International (IGI) airport's new terminal (T3) under construction.
The order includes design, supply and commissioning of electrical products 11 kv panels, distribution transformer in addition to cables, wires and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
The new terminal will cover an area of 5,20,000 square meters with a capacity to handle 25 million passengers and is scheduled to be operational by March 2010.
The drive is part of a modernisation project to prepare the airport for the Commonwealth Games to be held in 2010.
