Mumbai: Several passengers of a Trivandrum-Mumbai flight of private air-carrier, Jet Airways, had to go hungry as the cabin crew did not serve them food, citing shortage.
On August 25, around 15 passengers of the total 135 passengers on board Jet's 9W-337 flight were not served food by the cabin crew on the ground that food was not available.
Following this, the passengers got furious and on landing in Mumbai pointed out the deficiency to the airline's staff.
The passengers also demanded two free tickets as compensation to the poor and deficient service by Jet Airways.
Confirming this, a Jet Airways spokesperson said that there was no shortage of food on the flight and the sordid incident happened because of an inadvertent omission on the part of the cabin crew.
"Meals were uplifted (on to the aircraft) but inadvertently, the cabin crew did not notice it," the spokesperson said.
