Indian helicopter lands in Bangladesh by mistake, returns later

Agartala: An Indian civilian helicopter Monday strayed out of the Indian airspace and landed in Bangladesh, officials here said.
The five seater Pawan Hans helicopter was on its way from Tripura capital Agartala to Gandachara in Dhalai district, 155 km north of here, to pick up a patient.
"By mistake it landed inside Bangladeshi territory," a senior official said.
He said that the Tripura government immediately informed New Delhi with the external affairs and civil aviation ministries taking up the matter with the Indian high commission in Dhaka.
"Dhaka responded to the Indian request and later allowed the helicopter to fly back to Agartala," the official said.
