Mumbai: Private jet charter service provider, Airnetz Aviation, has launched the first Global Distribution System (GDS) in the private jet industry in India and the Asia Pacific region.
The GDS enables a flyer-search, select and rent a private jet and aircraft online through a single-window worldwide-computerised reservation network.
"We have launched the GDS solution in India to meet the record increase in demand for private charter flights," Airnetz Aviation's Chief Executive Officer, Atul Khekade, said in a press release here today.
The flexibility that private aviation provides has increased its popularity amongst regular fliers, Khekade said, adding that, "individuals can now rent private aircraft just like they book tickets for scheduled airlines."
"We are making an effort to allow people to book private aircraft online and through travel agents. Customers can also check instant availability and pricing of the aircraft," he said.
