No clues in camera footage

New Delhi: Two security breaches are believed to have occurred at the international terminal of Indira Gandhi International Airport, early on Friday.
While evidence of either breach was not found in the footage of closed circuit television cameras (CCTV), the police are going ahead with the accounts provided by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel posted at the terminal.
“We are investigating the two incidents reported by CISF officials. In the first incident, CISF men said they heard two gunshots fired from a white Toyota Qualis under the ramp at the gates of the international terminal. Fifteen minutes later, there was another call that a vehicle had sped past the barricades and not stopped on being flagged down by CISF men,” said a senior police officer.
The police have registered cases pertaining to illegal use of firearms, assault on a public servant and rash driving endangering life against the unknown occupants of the vehicle.
A CISF quick reaction team even chased the second suspect vehicle but it sped off. This vehicle — reportedly a blue Toyota Qualis — was trying to enter the arrival terminal from the wrong side when CISF men reportedly asked the driver to stop.
On Friday morning, the police also seized a Maruti SX4 car on suspicion.
