Biji Eapen, President, IAAI informed that the main objective of the ceremony is to pay respect to the MP’s who supported the travel agents immensely in demanding five per cent commission. At the ceremony IAAI will submit a special memorandum to Sitaram Yechury, Chairman, Parliamentary Committee, Aviation and Transportation. The special memorandum will ask for constituting an airline regulatory body for the operation and distribution channel of airline tickets and also to make commission as the right of travel agents. Along with Yechury, other distinguished MP’s like Brida Karat, Tapan Zen, Dr. M K Pande, Verender Kumar and Chandran Pillai will also attend the ceremony.
