Berhampur: Orissa will soon get one more airport at Jharsuguda, a town located in the state's rapidly growing industrial and mineral-rich belt.
The Airport Authority of India (AAI) will shortly sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Orissa government for the development of the state's second airport, official sources said here.
"We have already submitted the draft MoU to the state government and discussed with the chief secretary development of the proposed airport at Jharsuguda," executive director of AAI (eastern region), Kolkata, PK Singhal said here yesterday.
Commencement of work and completion of the new airport will depend on the availability of land from the state government, he said.
