Fire at cargo section in old airport building, no casualty

Kolkata: The Fire, which broke out in the electric room housed in the cargo section of the N S C Bose International Airport's old building today, was doused within 30 minutes and there was no casualty, airport sources said.
They said that huge quantity of electrical wirings and challan papers which were stored in the cargo section were damaged in the fire.
Two tenders fought the blaze and doused within 30 minutes and there was no spread of the fire in the nearby buildings.
Cargo staff assisted the firemen in the fire-fighting operations, they added.
The area was cordoned off from where the smoke was billowing, the sources said adding that flight operations remained normal.
