IBS automates SpiceJet's cargo operations

SpiceJet, has now started using IBS Software’s new-generation cargo management system, iCargoLite. With iCargoLite, a part of IBS’ iCargo solution suite, SpiceJet has automated its cargo business processes to support its aggressive expansion plans for its domestic cargo operations. This will ensure an integrated management of cargo reservations and ground operations including flight planning, inbound cargo operations, billing and shipment tracking. SpiceJet becomes the first Indian LCC to use this high-end business solution.
SpiceJet, voted as the best low-cost airline in South Asia and Central Asia region by Skytrax in 2007, has joined IBS’ prestigious list of customers to opt for its cargo solutions. These include Air Astana, Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Austrian Airlines, Avient Cargo, CargoJet, Kingfisher Airlines, Nippon Cargo Airlines, and Tokyo International Air Cargo Terminal (TIACT).
iCargoLite provides the breadth of functionality required for low-cost carriers to manage their cargo business efficiently in a cost effective manner. It is built on highly efficient modern technology platforms that provide considerable savings in TCO (total cost of ownership) with key benefits such as rich reporting capability and a windows based user friendly front end. It is a completely web-based system that is low on IT infrastructure requirements for its operation and distribution.
