AAI agrees to stay transfers: Sena

Mumbai: Airports Authority of India (AAI) assured the Shiv Sena on Monday that the transfer orders issued to its 2,500 employees would be stayed after the party staged an agitation at the airport here for three hours and warned that the employees would strike work if the demand was not met.
“AAI officials have given us a letter promising a stay on the transfer of employees till June 15,” Sena leader Vinayak Raut told PTI.A delegation met the airport director to protest the transfer of the employees.
The union demanded that the transfer of the employees, mostly Grade IV, should not be implemented until June 15.
