Mumbai: Taking serious note of the four hour delay in arranging an aircraft for stranded passengers of its Patna-bound flight, Air India on Thursday instituted a probe to fix accountability and prevent recurrence of such incidents.
Air India had taken serious note of the four-hour delay due to technical snag, Air India's Chairman and Managing Director, Arvind Jadhav, said adding, "the delay is being investigated to fix accountability and to prevent recurrence of such incidents."
Regretting the inordinate delay in arranging aircraft at Delhi airport on Wednesday Jadav said he apologised to the passengers for the inconvenience.
Air India's Delhi-Patna flight with 115 passengers onboard had on Wednesday developed a technical fault shortly before take off from Indira Gandhi domestic airport. Adding to the passengers woes was the four-hour delay in arranging another plane to take them to their destination.
