International passengers at Pune airport to be screened

Pune: In an effort to put a system in place to check the entry of swine flu, the state health service has decided to screen passengers coming to Pune in international flights.
"Pune has two international flights from Dubai and Frankfurt, which arrive at Pune at 12.30 and 3.30 am respectively. We have decided to screen all passengers in these flights from today (Monday). Two doctors, two nurses, four helping staff and one ambulance will be placed at the Lohegaon airport," Yashwant Doiphode, joint director of state health service, said.
The join meeting of state health service officials, NIV officials, airport authority officers and the Sassoon hospital doctors was held on Monday to discuss the screening of passengers on the backdrop of the outbreak of swine flu.
