Jet, Jetlite, SpiceJet shift operations to new terminal

The new domestic departure terminal at IGI airport in New Delhi on Wednesday became fully operational with all major carriers shifting their operations to the swanky new building, which is yet to get a “No Objection Certificate” from fire department.
“With the remaining three airlines Jet, Jetlite and SpiceJet shifting their operations to new terminal building from the intervening night of May 12-13 it has become fully operational,” a DIAL spokesperson said.
With the shifting of the three airlines, now all the major airlines -Kingfisher, Kingfisher Red, Jet, Jetlite, Indigo and SpiceJet would be operating from the new terminal, christened T1D.
Jet, Jetlite and SpiceJet have shifted their operations almost a month after T1D was opened for operations on 19th April with the shifting of Kingfisher, Kingfisher Red and Indigo.
Other airlines, like Air India (IC), GoAir and MDLR would be operating from terminal 1A.
The T1D would be handling about 20,000 passengers every day but it is yet to the get a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” from the fire department.
