Jet Airways (India) Ltd., the nation’s biggest airline by market value, plans to cut further capacity as the global recession saps travel demand.
The airline expects to reduce capacity by an additional 10 percent, Chairman Naresh Goyal said in Kuala Lumpur today. The company has already slashed capacity by 30 percent, he said.
Jet Airways expects to break even this year because of cost cuts, Goyal said. The carrier has no plan now to raise funds, he added.
