AI to set up passenger advisory board

New Delhi: Besieged with financial woes, Air India is now focusing on the most valued stakeholder, its customers, assuring them of on-time performance by the national carrier. After taking over as the chairman and managing director of the carrier, Arvind Jadhav, addressed customer’s concerns through the carrier’s inflight magazine, Swagat. “I realize that, of late, questions are being raised about service quality, comfort and on time performance in the wake of competitive pricing and increasing costs. On time performance is being accorded top priority,” Jadhav wrote in the foreword.
The airline has now decided to set up a National Passengers Advisory Board to address passengers’ grievances. “I will strengthen the customer care department and undertake various customer outreach programmes,” Jadhav assured.
