Maldivian, the airline division of Island Aviation Services (IAS), has scheduled 6 additional flights to cater for June school holidays.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily , the airline’s Assistant Director Ismail Shujau said the first 3 additional flights will be operated from Male’ to Trivandrum / India. He said instead of the 2 daily flights normally operated, the airline will operate 3 flights to Trivandrum on days 4, 5 and 6 of this month. He also said the other 3 flights will be operated from Trivandrum to Male’ on 11, 12 and 13 of this month.
Shujau further revealed that the airline is paying special attention to accommodate students who wants to fly in from various parts of the country to attend the National Quran Reciting Competition scheduled for the holidays. He said the airline’s chief objective is to facilitate easy and convenient air travel to all.
IAS commenced operations to Trivandrum in January 2008. With Maldivian operating daily flights to Trivandrum, passengers no longer have to wait in long waiting lists to come to Male’ or travel to India, as the case was previously.
