Now, kids can check-in for some fun at airport

Mumbai: Like many national and international airports, Mumbai airport has created a children's corner for young fliers who can now spend the time between check-in and boarding at a play zone.
Located at terminal 1B of the domestic airport, the play zone can accommodate 10 children at a time and offers various fun activities-from drawing, playing educational games, watching children's shows on television, to reading and purchasing toys.
"The children's corner, with an area of 110 sq ft, is located next to security hold 1 and will be managed by Landmark bookstore,'' a Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (MIAL) press release said.
"The corner, which is open from 6 am to 9 pm, offers basic facilities such as television sets, magic mirrors, board games, drawing sheets and crayons,'' it adds.
The children's zone would be available free of cost, and also offer books and toys for sale. The zone will, however, be primarily available to domestic fliers departing from terminal 1B. The facility is not yet open for international fliers, who spend a considerable time at the airport. However, transit international passengers-changing flights through the domestic terminal-will be able to use the area.
