AIE to add new flights from Oman to M'lore

Muscat: Air-India Express, the low cost subsidiary of Air-India has announced new flights to various destinations in India from gulf today. Addressing the press Air India Manager for Oman Mr. Mohit Sain said that, in keeping with the increasing demand, and also with a view to improve the business relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and India, Air-India Express proposes to expand further by connecting Muscat with Amritsar - New Delhi ( via Abu Dhabi) with the state of the art Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays effective 4th September, 2009.
These flights will depart Muscat at 2035 hrs and arrive into Amritsar at 0325 hrs, the following day, he said.
Indian Ambassador Anil Wadhwa and Air India Manager for Oman Mr. Mohit Sain at a joint press conference at Indian Embassy today said that the airline is also exploring two additional flights a week between Muscat and Kochi (via Mangalore) on Wednesdays and Fridays.
