Trains come to the rescue of stranded Air India passengers

As Air India continues to cancel its flights for the fourth consecutive day, Indian Railways offers to help by putting up 'May I Help You' booths across major airports.
From tomorrow, passengers can also book tickets from all major airport terminals. Special trains will be arranged from Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Bangalore providing a much needed respite for those stranded on airports.
The 'May I Help You' booths will provide additional services as more and more addons will be installed during this week. According to Railways Minister Mamata Banerjee, an additional coach could be attached to each superfast train to accommodate the extra passengers. Those stranded will be provided information about vacant berths in trains at the temporary reservation counters and the 'May I Help You' booths. The special trains are slated to run only for a day or two but if the Air India strike isn't called off, the services could well be extended.
