Two arrested at Kolkata airport

Kolkata: Two persons were arrested today at NSC Bose international airport here for forging passport and carrying cash beyond permissible amount.
The police said Jalal Ali Mondal, a resident of Nadia in the state, was arrested when one page of his passport was found torn and removed.
He was due to board a flight to Dubai from here.
Mondal stayed back there last year after expiry of the visa and somehow managed to land in India after staying there for more than a year, the police said.
In a separate incident, a student Pesto Phishi was arrested before boarding a flight to Dubai for carrying Rs 12,000 in cash where only Rs 5000 is allowed.
