Girls beat up male passenger in mid-air

Jaipur: A group of girls allegedly beat up a male passenger mid-air on a Jaipur-bound flight on Sunday. The incident occurred on Indigo flight 207 from Mumbai to Jaipur. The girls, travelling in economy class, accused a man, sitting on their same row, of misbehaving with one of them and later thrashed him.
According to sources, the girls reportedly informed the male passenger’s misconduct to airline officials on board but in vain. “They didn’t show any urgency to resolve the matter. Rather, by not initiating any corrective measures at the right time, they gave time to both parties to engage in violence,” said a source.
The situation become grave when the accused started shouting at the girls. He reportedly made some derogatory remarks which invited more trouble. Furious, one of the girls, Mahrukh, slapped him and demanded an unconditional apology.
The boy refused and threatened them of “dire consequences” in Jaipur. This further proved the girls. “They started beating him with whatever they could get hold of from their bags,” the source added.
The drama, however, did not end there. After the flight landed in Jaipur, the girls straightaway went to the Sanganer police station to file a case against the accused.
Later at night, both parties resolved the matter amicably.
