Pregnant woman, an under aged kid attempts to smuggle 2kg of illegal drugs

A pregnant woman and an underage girl of 17 year’s, has attempted to smuggle 2kg of illegal drugs of different types.
These two were arriving from Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) , India, on 30 November and were caught at the Male’ International Airport by Maldives Customs official. They found different types of illegal drugs concealed in their suitcase as well as body.
Speakint to the press, Chief Customs Officer of Customs Investigations Section Ahmed Shimah said that the pregnant woman was Nishana Rasheed,25, of Maafanu Lansimoo residence. The under aged girl’s name was not revealed.
According to customs officials, both of them arrived from Trivendrum and upon checking them, officers found that a black thick liquid was carefully packed in rubber bags and folded to fit the thick card board of two separate bed sheet packs. This liquid was later tested positive for hashish oil and it was weighed to be 1.3kg.
Upon further investigation, heroine was also found inside their pads as well. It was found that 101.49gram and 101.82 gram of heroine was packed into the two separate pads that these ladies were using.
