All 400 pilots clear New Year booze test

New Delhi: Changing its usual strategy of conducting nationwide checks at airports on New Year’s Eve, this time round, DGCA chose only three metros and made nearly 400 pilots, cabin crew members and air marshals undergo breathalyzer tests on January 1. Barring one staffer from the cabin crew of a private airline, the rest came clean.
As of now, pilots are derostered only for a few days if they report for a flight drunk. Now, DGCA is going to suspend licences instead of mere derostering.
