Kingfisher flight aborted after pilot suspects snag

New Delhi: A Kingfisher Airlines flight to Kullu with 35 passengers on board landed soon after taking off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport here Friday after the pilot suspected a snag.
The aircraft - an ATR-42 twin turboprop passenger aircraft - landed smoothly at the airport 10 minutes after it took off. The flight IT 4357 was then cancelled.
According to the airlines’ spokesperson, the aircraft took off around 6.50 a.m. “Soon after the aircraft took off, the commander suspected some snag and decided to land. There was no problem,” the spokesperson said.
The airline official said the flight was cancelled as there are restrictions on flight operations at Kullu airport after 12.30 p.m. due to bad weather conditions prevailing there.
