New pick-and-drop facility at airport

Nagpur: Mihan India Private Limited (MIPL) has provided ramps at the airport to the new pick and drop area for facilitating passengers.
In the second week of January, MIPL had prohibited people from using the pick-and-drop area in front of the airport building due to security threat to the airport. The pick-and-drop area was shifted towards the parking lot. At first the measure was supposed to end after January 26.
An MIPL spokesperson said that to facilitate the passengers, it has provided ramps at the new pick-and-drop area. Baggage trolleys had been made available for smooth transit of luggage. It also plans to provide baggage trolleys at more spots in the airport area and wheelchairs for aged and handicapped persons. The entire pick-and-drop area, along with the walkway to the terminal, would be covered soon, he added.
The change in arrangement had caused a lot of inconvenience to passengers. M Pankaj told TOI that he had gone to pick up his uncle who was arriving from Mumbai. Unaware of the new rule, he drove towards the earlier pick-and-drop area. He was stopped security personnel and told to park his vehicle in the parking lot.
