Big B works free for 'Kandahar'

Amitabh Bachchan will work for free in Army officer-turned-filmmaker Major Ravi's forthcoming ‘Kandahar’.The movie will be made simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Significantly, Mohanlal will be playing in the lead. Recently, Amitabh wrote on his blog. Incidentally, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen with Suneil Shetty again in 'Kandahaar'. The mega budget project, 'Kandahaar' is based on the infamous Kandahaar flight hijack. You may recall that an Indian Airlines Flight 814 en route from Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu, Nepal) to Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi, India) was hijacked by five Pakistani nationals on 24 December 1999.
Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, a Pakistan-based terrorist group, was held responsible for the hijacking. After touching down in Amritsar, Lahore and Dubai, the hijackers forced the aircraft to land in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
