Ahmedabad: Leaders of Gujarati and other Indian communities in the UK have demanded to resume direct flights of Air India between Ahmedabad and London, which was discontinued nearly two years ago.
The direct flight between Heathrow and Sardar Patel International Airport was a vital link for Britain-based Gujaratis and European businessmen, who have interests in the state, said a press release issued by the UK-based National Congress of Gujarati Organisation (NCGO).
