Hyderabad: If he has his passport, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik can leave the country at any time he wants. This is because no specific orders went across to the immigration authorities to detain him in case he turns up at any of India's airports in connection with the case lodged against him by Ayesha Siddiqui.
The Hyderabad police had said on April 4 that Shoaib could not leave the city pending the completion of the investigation into the charges levelled against him by Ayesha, and that all airports in the country had also been alerted about the matter. Ayesha had alleged in her complaint that the cricketer had married her, and that he was proposing to marry tennis star Sania Mirza without divorcing her.
But on Friday, both the airport and immigration authorities told TOI that no alert or look-out notice was issued against the Pakistani cricketer.
