NSG team visits Ahmedabad airport

Ahmedabad: A team from the elite National Security Guard (NSG) visited the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport here on Friday to review security arrangements, airport sources said.
The NSG team held meetings with Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the agency in-charge of security at the airport, they said.
According to sources, the NSG team wanted familiarise itself with the location so as to reduce the response time in the event of a terror attack or a hijack situation.
Sources further said that the NSG team also visited some of the vital installations in the city like the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Physical Research Laboratory.
