Airhostess in assets case row

New Delhi: The CBI’s anti-corruption unit has lodged a case of disproportionate assets against an airhostess working with Air India/Indian Airlines. She allegedly possessed assets worth around Rs 3.62 crore beyond her income.
The accused, Anu Puri, in her early 50s, is of deputy manager rank and posted in Delhi.
The CBI is still ascertaining the “means” through which she amassed her assets. CBI spokesperson, Harsh Bhal, said, “We are probing as to how she gathered Rs 3.62-crore worth of disproportionate assets.”
An assessment of Puri’s moveable and immovable assets by the CBI indicated that she had amassed the assets between 1982 to 2010.
“After considering her income from her known sources of income and expenses incurred during 1982-2010, it was found that she had amassed disproportionate income worth Rs 3.62 crore,” he said. The agency’s team seized cash worth Rs 7.25 lakh from her residence along with some “incriminating documents.”
