Punjab youth held with fake US visa

Kolkata: Immigration officials at the Kolkata airport arrested a 22-year-old youth early on Thursday morning for allegedly using a forged US visa sticker. He was handed over to NSCBI Airport police station. Bickramjit Singh Cheema was arrested after he was deported by Chinese officials.
Cheema, a Punjab resident, was first found carrying a fake visa during an immigration check in Kunming, China.
He was to fly to the US. Cheema had gone to China from Kolkata last week.
Immigration officials suspect Cheema bought the fake visa from an Indian agent based in China. "On Wednesday, when he tried to move out of China, immigration officials arrested him. As per protocol, he was deported back to India," said an immigration official here. Cheema was arrested on his arrival in Kolkata.
