Mumbai: A Yemeni cancer patient, who was travelling to India for medical treatment, died on board the Yemenia Airways flight before it landed in Mumbai early on Wednesday morning. A few hours later, another passenger collapsed at the Emirates check-in counter at the airport.
The 24-year-old cancer patient, Jameah Ahmed Ahmed, was travelling from Saana, the capital city of Yemen, to Mumbai on IY854 of the Yemenia Airways.
After landing , the airport doctor examined her again but could not register her pulse or blood pressure.
A few hours later, 67- year old Radheshyam Mukhi reported chest pain and discomfort at the international terminal while checking in to board the Emirates flight to Dubai, and collapsed. It is suspected that he suffered a heart attack.
