BEML plans to set up unit at Bangalore

Mumbai: BEML Ltd, the state-run heavy engineering and defence equipment major, has signed an initial pact with Karnataka government to set up another manufacturing unit in Bangalore, it said on Thursday.
The unit will make aircraft components and undertake aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul activities at 25 acres land near Bangalore international airport provided by the state, it said in a statement to the stock exchange.
