IndiGo operates all-women crew on Hyderabad-Chennai route

Mumbai: Budget airline IndiGo today operated a flight on its Hyderabad-Chennai sector with an all-women crew.
The flight, comprising an all-women cockpit and cabin-crew, flew badminton champion Saina Nehwal amongst other tournament players, from Hyderabad to Chennai a day prior to the Yonex Sunrise India Open Grand Prix Gold 2010, an IndiGo press release said in Mumbai.
"At IndiGo, we believe that women have the power to change any industry. It is our privilege to be part of this initiative," IndiGo Airline's President, Aditya Ghosh, said. Ghosh said women comprise about 40 per cent of the total workforce in IndiGo.
