The installation of a perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) at Indira Gandhi International Airport in India has been delayed due to last-minute changes in the original project.
The system uses thermal-imaging cameras, video recorders and radars to detect the movement of individuals and vehicles at the airport. The project should have been finished by 30 April this year but is only 70% complete due to other major projects taking precedence.
