RTI activist alleges misuse of name in petition

A Right to Information Act (RTI) activist Sunday said his name had been misused to file a petition, in what could be the first such case since the transparency law came into existence.
Subhash Chandra Agarwal said that his name was used to send a RTI application to Air India's public information officer (PIO), seeking specific information about a general manager in the airline's vigilance department.
'I got a letter from the Air India PIO dated May 10 and it was then I got to know about a RTI petition which was sent in my name,' he said.
