The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids under the ‘two-packet system’ from ad agencies for advertisement rights at the Jammu and Kolkata airports.
At the civil airport at Jammu, the ad rights are for approximately 400 passenger baggage trolleys along with their retrieval and maintenance. The contract will be awarded for a period of three years and shall attract a minimum reserved license fee of Rs 180,000 per month. The EMD required is Rs 197,000.
AAI will initially provide 400 baggage trolleys to the licensee, for which the licensee shall pay the quoted license fee along with 10 per cent annual compounded escalation. In case of additional trolleys, the licensee shall pay license fee at the applicable rate for additional trolleys from the date of introduction of such trolleys.
As per the eligibility criteria specified, interested parties should have a minimum experience of two years in the advertisement display business or trolley management services at transportation centres such as airports, seaports, railways as whole, bus terminals, including bus shelters, etc.
Hoteliers, airlines, including foreign airlines, business and industrial houses, courier agencies, shopping malls, etc., having more than two years of business existence will also be eligible for the contract.
All participating firms should have a minimum annual turnover of Rs 10 lakh from the business for which the experience is claimed. Documentary proof to this effect will have to be submitted along with the bid.
Tender documents indicating full details of the license can be availed at on payment of Rs 3,375 from the office of the Airport Director, Airports Authority of India, Civil Airport, Jammu on any working day between 10 am and 5 pm from July 13-22, 2010.
