Mangalore: Ummer Farooque from Ullal near here, who is one of the survivors of the May 22 crash of Air India Express flight from Dubai at the local airport, expressed his gratitude to the doctors and employees of A J Hospital in the city, from which he was discharged on Tuesday July 6. He especially appreciated the care and attention given to him by Dr Sant Kumar and Dr Dinesh Kadam of the hospital in helping him recover from the injuries he had suffered in the crash speedily, saying that he will never forget their selfless services.
On his discharge from the hospital on Tuesday July 6, founder of the hospital, A J Shetty wished him well for the future.
Ummer, who used to work as a supervisor in a Dubai-based firm, was coming to the city for getting his visa modified, after he bagged another job there. He was admitted to A J Hospital with severe burn injuries to his face and hands. Even though his injuries have been healed to a great extent, he has been advised by the doctors to continue to be on medication for six more months, besides shielding his skin from exposure to sunlight.
