Pilot reports sick, flight delayed by over 3 hours

Kolkata: A Jet Airways flight to Bhubaneswar was stranded at Kolkata airport for three and a half hours because the captain who was to fly the aircraft reported sick minutes before the scheduled departure.
According to airline officials, an alternative pilot had to be requisitioned for the ATR flight 9W 2850 when the original pilot reported ill just minutes before the scheduled takeoff at 10.45 am.
The airline later made arrangements for transferring the passengers to the security hold lounge. The plane finally took off for Bhubaneswar at 2.20 pm.
