Bajpe: That co-pilot H S Ahluwalia warned Captain Zlatko Glusica not to land and instead go around (for taking another shot at landing) is clear from the transcript of the conversation between the Mangalore tower and the IX 812.
The transcript was provided on request, by the media to the Court of Inquiry, by secretary to the court G S N Dwivedi.
This warning came roughly after 30 seconds after the Mangalore tower told the aircraft that wind was calm and the runway was clear to land. The transcript reads: Go around Captain (probably co-pilot telling the Captain) and in the next 20 seconds towers hears a panicky voice shouting `Control' after that there is no transmission. What happened seconds after that was a horrific crash that killed 158 people, including 19 children and four infants.
Assessor Babu Peter, after hearing the survivors, commented the situation awareness among the survivors was high as they had the basic survival instinct to get out of the aircraft as soon as possible, despite being hindered by smoke and fire.
