New Delhi: A return flight from New Delhi to Port Blair can cost people upto Rs 54,000 for the high demand of flights during the Commonwealth Games (CWG 2010) period, The Economic Times reported.
Airfares may increase because of the much higher than usual bookings from Delhi to places like Goa, Udaipur, Port Blair and the northeast through Bagdogra, airline officials stated.
The current domestic fares, in general, charge between Rs 3,500 to Rs 13,000.
Air India informed that it may operate additional flights to places like Bagdogra due to the huge demand.
However, if people book their tickets earlier, then also it would charge anywhere between Rs 6,000 and Rs 12,000 for flying from Delhi to Goa and fare to Bagdogra will be between Rs 11,000 and Rs 16,000.
