Bird-hit grounds flight for 11 hours

Panaji: A Kingfisher airlines flight was grounded at the Dabolim airport for almost 11 hours following a bird-hit. The flight was to return to Bangalore at 8.15am. "As there was a delay due to the repairs, some of the passengers were given seats on other flights to Bangalore in the morning, while others opted to take the flight to Bangalore in the evening," sources said.
Incidentally, this was the second flight to have been hit by a bird on Sunday. Earlier, at about 4.30am, an Air Arabia flight from Sharjah carrying about 50 passengers suffered a bird-hit while landing at Dabolim.
